Community Fall Grants

Chillicothe-Ross Community Foundation Grant Guidelines – 2026

The Chillicothe-Ross Community Foundation is dedicated to making Ross County a great place to live, work, play, and raise our families. We proudly support nonprofit organizations whose work strengthens our community and improves the quality of life.

Who We Fund

We award grants, based on available funds, to eligible 501(c)(3) charitable organizations that:

  • Serve a public purpose

  • Deliver projects or programs with broad community impact

  • Address pressing community needs or opportunities

  • Align with our mission and values

Our grants may support projects, programs, or initiatives that directly benefit the people and communities we serve.

What We Do Not Fund

We generally do not fund:

  • Religious organizations, unless for a non-sectarian project that serves the whole community

  • Organizations that discriminate against individuals

  • Administrative or general operating expenses

  • Endowments not held at the Community Foundation

  • Fundraising events or campaigns

  • Direct support for individuals

  • Social, labor, veterans, alumni, or fraternal organizations

  • Political causes, candidates, or lobbying

  • Budget deficits or debt payments

  • Recreational sporting events or athletic teams

Please Note: Grant requests should be for tangible items or specific project expenses that directly relate to services provided to clients.
Organizations with little or no presence in Ross County are unlikely to be considered.

If We Can’t Fund You This Cycle

Projects recommended by our Grants Committee but not selected for immediate funding may be listed in our Community Foundation Grants Catalog, a crowdfunding platform that connects worthy local projects with donors who want to help.
